Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow….August 20th is here – my goodness, what an incredible summer so far and still a couple weeks till school starts up again!!!

Over 3 months since my last post, not that I have little to record or share, but I have been on the go and random paper journaling has worked best. With all there is to do and all the amazing people to visit with, I have struggled to sit at my computer and transcribe my thoughts and events. Come September I am committing to a daily workout, a nutritious breaky, a fresh coffee or tea, a book and my blog/websites. It has taken me some time to embrace that both our little girls will be in school all day (C – Gr 2 & B – K), which they are crazy stoked for. Same school, same drop off and pick up, and one school to volunteer with. 🙂 It’ll be awesome and much more convenient, just an entire day solo scared me in the beginning, not to forget accepting our munchkins are growing so big.  (I do have to give Dai and myself kudos for raising some pretty confident and friendly little ones tho, that prosper socially no prob.)

I know many others can’t wait for the time to themselves, to do what they choose, but I am a person who prefers t0 be productive and on the go. Don’t get me wrong, I can easily be sucked into the early morning talk shows, mill about cleaning house, possibly laundry, spend time ‘stalking’ people on facebook or chat on the phone, etc and before I know it the time has come to eat again and then pick kiddies up.  At the end of the day, I am frustrated I was so unproductive, did little to better myself as a person, parent and partner, and my ‘to-do’ list has not gotten smaller. I personally am a happier human being when I feel productive or useful…thanks to a few individuals I am realizing time for me is a good thing, so as mentioned above, I have made some personal commitments and am going to do my best to stick to it until it is a habit.

In the meantime, the remainder of the month is going to be spent focussing on more funtimes with family and friends! The past 7 weeks have consisted of a couple trips to Kelowna, celebrating my dad’s 60th and my newest nephew’s arrival to the world, 2 weeks in Toronto area, camping, FT Golf Tourney, housesitting, Seattle, and random playdates. It has been a truly incredible time!!!

Come September, it will still be an incredible time, just on a different level…finally excited for what’s in store! Wishing you a most wonderful time as summer settles down and hoping it continue from there ~ xo
