I am the first to admit, the kitchen is not my favourite place. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate eating tremendously! I have yet to embrace the preparation time involved to create diverse meals. Lately I have been making more of an effort to embrace cooking and am determined to make tasty, simple and nutritious options for my family. Times that are a significant turning point in life, I often refer to as the TSN turning point (somewhere along the line I picked up this phrase due to sports), hence ‘TSN’ ~ Tasty, Simple and Nutritious for the recipes I will be sharing. I take no credit for creating these items, most likely some very skilled person has them in a famous cookbook, but I have yet to be exposed to them personally, so I am choosing to call them what I wish.
Our home try’s our best to eat 100% paleo, 80% of the time, so I thought I would attempt creating a healthy dessert tonight. It was a huge hit and took less than 10 minutes start to finish – gotta love it! Banana Bam Bam
Inspired by my father! A very fond memory of mine, as a little girl, was when my dad would make Banana Flambe.
I decided to put a good tablespoon of coconut oil in the base of the frying pan, placed sliced banana in the pan, sprinkled cinnamon and shredded coconut on top, fried, flipped, sprinkled more cinnamon and shredded coconut. After a few minutes, it was done!
Placed the Banana Bam Bam on top of some ‘Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss’ and VOILA!
