‘Fit Forties Father’ ~ Fitness Town’s December 21 Day Challenge

The 21 Day Family Fitness Challenge was created to encourage the community to make a choice towards living a healthier lifestyle. With the steady rise in Canadian childhood obesity rates, Fitness Town’s challenge mission is to engage families of all sizes to stay physically active together; ultimately, creating a lifelong habit of fitness and health. Let’s make exercise FUN again!

My understanding is that, Stan Karras, came into Fitness Town for something health and fitness related and was presented with the fitness challenge opportunity…

I have not had the pleasure of meeting Stan and his family, but read his 21st day blog. Next thing I knew, my eyes were spilling over with tears…I AM SO PROUD of them!!! Thank you so much for sharing ~ you are an incredible example to your kids – CONGRATS!!!

  • Christie I am absolutely flattered by your comments and the fact that you would post my story on your blog. It’s interesting how things have taken flight the past three weeks.
My children have become the driving force behind our success and will continue to inspire me for a long long time. I was always told to cherish the memories of your children because in a blink of an eye they’re grown up and moving out. My little girls are 6 and 8 and although parenting can be tough at times, knowing that we’re shaping each others lives for the better makes these challenges all worth it in the end.
Next challenge is to get my wife (who’s been on night shifts for the greater part of this) to join in.
Once again, thank you for your kind words.
    Stan

  • Thank you Stan, my goodness, it was the least I could do. Congratulations!!! What you and your girl shave going on is contagious, your lovely wife will catch on!!! 2011 is going to be an incredible year :)
